Countdown begins as Wanderers sell-out away allocation at Wigan Athletic 13610356

Wanderers have sold out their away allocation for their upcoming game at Wigan Athletic.

The club were given 4,098 tickets for the game at the DW Stadium on April 2, with the last few hundred mopped up after going on general sale today.

Wanderers will make the short trip after the international break hoping to preserve their slim hopes of reaching the play-offs.

Before this weekend’s truncated round of games the Whites sit nine points behind sixth-placed Sunderland but could be 10 points adrift by Saturday if Sheffield Wednesday nudge into the play-off spots with a win against Cheltenham Town.

Amadou Bakayoko has been handed his international debut for Sierra Leone in their game against Togo in Antalaya, Turkey, and with Dion Charles, James Trafford and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson also in action during the international break, Ian Evatt is keeping his fingers crossed that all his players return next week ready for one final promotion push.

“We’ve got seven cup finals to go and obviously a huge one at Wigan when we return from the international break,” he said.

“We hope and wish our lads all the best and well over the international break.

“I think, to be honest, Baka hurt his calf when he came on so whether he will travel or not, I don’t know. That is a bit of a worry at the moment.

“But other than that we wish them well and just come back in one piece. We will prepare properly for Wigan as we always do and give it our best shot.”

4000 will be more than the home supporters then  Very Happy

I remember going to the old Springfield Park and Bolton taking over the entire ground many years ago. The away end was just a grass slope with a really old metal shed at the top if i remember correctly?
