Do You Look Down On Single People 30+

You probably can't believe it, but I am 32 years old. Ok, I look 24 but I assure you I am 32.

And this might blow your mind, but I'm actually single. Footballers passing in the night don't count as relationships.

I've noticed recently that when people find out I'm single they seem to look at me with sympathy, as if being 30+ and single is the equivalent of having a tattoo of Jimmy Saville on your forehead. Something to be pitied.

Am I imagining it? If you're single do you think people look down on you? If you're married or in a relationship do you pity single people, particularly those over 30?

I pity the people who clearly want to be in a relationship but don't appear to suceed...

Why do you pity them?

The missus and I have several single friends in their 30's and 40's. She's always trying to set them up, and I'm always telling her to leave the lucky bastards alone.

30+ single people do tend to be the ugly ones. It's like eating a bag of midget gems, at the end you are left with the deformed one's or black one's nobody wants and they end up in the bin.

Nat, how do you feel being single at 32? I do understand what you mean, I am single and am definitely in a minority and I do feel aware of it. I find it hard to even meet single women though. Evety woman i know are in relationships and I don't go out nowadays like I did ten fifteen years ago.

I am not bothered by a relationship as such but I 'd love to meet someone to do loads of cool things with. A Friday night meeting at a nice restaurant and chatting over drinks is something I really miss.
