Oxford Utd 0-1 Bolton

Well that was terrible. And we've been terrible in the league for weeks now.

We won the game because of old fashioned good luck. Oxford couldn't shoot to save their lives and the referee had a nightmare in failing to send Trafford off for taking out their forward.

Of course the happy clappers are out in force, falling over each other to point out that it's not about how we play, it's about the result. Wrong I'm afraid. You don't get promoted playing like this.

Can somebody explain to me how we are under the gun for 60 minutes by a team at the bottom of the league. They had 24 shots to our 4.
As we know it's not uncommon for us to be hanging on for a result lately. I don't know what the issue is - we cannot pass out of the back or hold the ball up - midfield was nonexistent yesterday.
Amazing as it seems Ian named Dixon on the bench yesterday so if Traf got sent off we had a keeper on the bench - imagine if traf was off with no keeper on the bench which is Ian's usual tactic. So, in the end we were lucky.  The lack of center backs now will be an issue IMO
