The old face was Diouf.

Never happened in the end though.

It would have been interesting to see Dioufy back at The Reebok for the run in - he likes situations such as these. I've always been a fan of his as well.

Would have been great to have Diouf back, he should never have left for our sake and his own.

Dioufy was sat behind us in the lower nat in one game - can't remember which - but there was a bit of chanting and he stood up to acknowledge the fans.

Not so long ago, we had a shortage of defenders and RB has been of concern even when Gretar was here. Sam Ricketts did it well for a while but for some reason didn't hold the job down. Boyata and Mears have both had a go and my personal choice - Riley - hasn't had a decent run at the job. So now we've got a 33 year old RB on loan who can play midfield if required. Not sure I get it. I suppose he's a utility back up player, but we already have one of those in Sam R.
