I wonder if folk will be wearing Andy Murray polo shirts in 77 years time instead of Fred Perry ones?

Piece of cake in the end. Very Happy

Too right they will, at £200 quid a shirt people will think you're cool if your wearing one of them.

Magoo will have had his telescope perched on his dry stone wall for much of the day waiting for the swingers to make an Al fresco appearance.

I have been dancing most of the afternoon. It's been a great weekend for sport. The lions battering the Wallabies in Sydney followed by Andy winning Wimbledon.

The only downside is that Hamilton, Button or Di Resta couldn't win the German Grand Prix and David Price showing a massive lack of stamina and endurance.

Price is done.

Haye will still beat Fury.

Fury is a big lad but he has absolutely no movement. He can't dance and he can't stick and jab. I cannot see him ever being good enough to win one of the numerous Heavyweight titles simply because he just isn't the finished article and probably never will be.

Listen, what 6ft9 bloke/boxer wants to dance, if he wanted to do that he'd of gone on strictly.

He'll be all over Haye, and he can jab, we'll see.

Fury is just a soft bender. I watched his last fight, I was laughing at him most of the time. It just shows how shit heavy weight boxing is.

Murray will win sports personality of the year. One knobhead said it was the biggest thing since 66. How does that work? I thought Wiggins winning the tour was pretty special. Murray is the first Brit to win Wimbledon wearing shorts!

It is a pretty amazing thing. I remember the days of Jeremy Bates, Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski - it seemed unimaginable that a Brit would win Wimbledon. And for Murray to do it when the best ever players in the history of the game are about - Federer, Nadal and Djokovic is unreal.
I hope he is enjoying his champagne tonight.

Fully deserved win, I thought Novac would take at least one set off him but to win in straight sets is unbelievable.

When was the last time a brit even held 2 of the top titles in tennis let alone just wimbledon.

Absolutely delighted. I thought Murray might for once show some charisma in his speech, but that was asking too much in hindsight.

Fantastic performance.

Superb performance by Andy Murray in my book. Fully deserves every accolade that comes his way. Charismatic he definitely ain't but who can now deny that he is in the same bracket as Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. His days of wretched Scottishness are over and he is now certified fully British for the rest of his career whatever happens.

I think Lendl deserves a lot of the credit. Murray always had the shots and the fitness but his head wasn't in the right place until this last year or so. Lendl sorted his head out.
