I remember these positions from my primary school days, maybe it was just the PE teachers old school positions but I didn't hear these again after leaving primary, or at least I don't remember this.

 Wayne- they were good days!! Sorry to be picky- but I think they were centre half and centre forward

When Harry Potts and Jimmy Adamson at Burnley started thinking outside of the stuffy English tactical play box.

Not to mention the foreign teams leaving us behind in their tactical approach and formations.

Although he never won a senior international cap, Adamson acted as Walter Winterbottom's assistant during the competition and was offered the role of England manager, only to turn it down because he felt he lacked experience, leaving Alf Ramsey to take the reins of the national team instead.

So no harm done then. Very Happy
