Well it say's that chapel st salford was the first st in the uk to be permenently lit by gaslight in 1806 but the first demonstration was in pall mall london by a guy who lit 2 lamps outside supplied by gas from his house in 1807 so how can that be right if salford already lit a whole st a year before?
