When Did Wigan Become Bigger Than Us?

We have to admit it, Wigan are now a bigger and better club than us.

The fact that Dave Whelan sacked Owen Coyle despite them being above us in the league with two games in hand, says it all - we now have different benchmarks for "success".

You could also say the same about Blackpool who are much more likely to go up than us, and even the chaotic Blackburn Rovers are several points ahead of us in the league.

In a couple of seasons will we be looking up at Bury and in five seasons dreaming of a derby clash with the big boys from Chorley?

Dare you admit that we are now a minor player in the North West?
