Site running slow?

Is it? The last couple of days it seems to take a long time to load. It could be that we have a lot of people logging on to follow the latest round in the Natasha v largehat debate but somehow I doubt it.

Thanks for letting us know. I was sat there thinking it was just me! Sometimes it's taking three or four goes for the site to accept a post.

I will get Biggie on it right now.

That is most likely the cause of it. It's running fine for me but then again, I am keeping out of the debate.

As regards site I had a problem logging in which is now sorted. Bit slow but OK.

Mine is running fine FYI.
Is anyone else going slow or has that stopped?

Still running slow some of the time for me. Not a connection problem at my end.

Mine has been fine today.

Speed is fine, but sometimes I need more than one click of 'send' for my post to register.

I think there may be a problem with compatibility with Chrome. When I access the site via Explorer there are no delays. Using Chrome there are sometimes delays.

I have come to this site from four computers in the last three days. Chrome on three of them. Not had the problem at all. I wonder what is going wrong? Anyone heard from Big E?

"Big E" is about as useful as chocolate teapot.

I'm so pissed off with his modding i've gone behind his back to another mod to have him forcibly removed from the board.

I have a good mind to ban you from here for that. And FYI I am not a mod. I would say I am more of a consultant to the mods and admins.

So is anyone else experiencing slowness? And how slow are we talking and how frequent is the need to post twice?

I have never had a problem with the site, use firefox its very quick.

It's occasional, not at any particular time and by slow I mean when I try to move to another topic it can take a minute (I'm guessing) to load and sometimes I even get an error message. Everything is fine now but I will let you know if it happens again.

For the record, we have sacked Biggie and replaced him with a tin of Aldi Baked Beans. You should see a big improvement.

Unfortunately Biggie hasn't left his house for over 4 years. He will soon be appearing in a Channel 5 documentary titled 'The Fattest Man In Bolton'.
