I think, a a punishment, he should have to swap jobs, until the end of the season, with Dougie Freedman! A lower division with a team with so-called problems!!!!

Hardly a proper head butt but players have been sent off for less and a manager should not be losing his rag in public.
Doubt he'd be sacked if Ashley wants to keep him - and he as seen off Joe Kinnear, so I guess he does.

Apparently he is on a final warning according to match of the day.
Match of the day also showed around 4/5 incidents from previous as a manager for other clubs.
It's embarrassing for a 52 year old man to do something like this when he really should know better and especially when he can be of such a big influence on his own players.

He is on approx £1.5M a year.Biggie wrote:I think a hundred grand is bloody harsh. But then i don't know how much he makes.
I don't think it's harsh at all, it's like me or you earn a more realistic £20,000 a year for example and then getting fined a grand Biggie if you think about it.

Oh.
I suppose they have to make a statement that means business.

Well if they fine him 500 quid, it isn't really going to penalise him in any way to be fair.Biggie wrote:Oh.

I agree, he's a total utter twat of the highest order, one day someone will drop him like a bag of stones.
And wipe that smug look of his face.

Ridiculous behaviour for a manager.

I loved every minute of it.
Football is supposed to be entertainment, what better form of entertainment than a manager twating the opposition players?
People seem to want to make football boring and rid the game of characters. You hardly ever see a punch up nowadays because there is so little passion on and off the pitch - so I salute Pardew and am glad he'll get nothing more than a touchline ban.

It'll be interesting to see how many kids take this as a new tactic on the field

He shouldn't have done it but come on it was hardly a knock out blow. As usual the FA and the MOTD slightly over reacted by saying he should be sacked.

Hundred grand? Ashley and Pardew spend that in one night at the casino. Chickenfeed.
