You utter bellend. Try embracing God for a change. You can speak to him at any church from around 11am on a Sunday. And it's free!

Do other Christians use the phrase bellend as much as you do? Never took you for a god botherer

NB: Christianity in all it's forms has declined by 12% in 10 years and it's the only major religion that has had any decline - unless "not stated" is a religion. Are We A Christian Society? - Page 2 Article-2246436-167624DA000005DC-625_634x508

You make my point perfectly. The vast majority of people in this country are Christians, hence we are a Christian society.
However if this trend continues "No religion" will overtake Christianity in the next 20 years as the majority of those declaring themselves as Christian are ageing or elderly, whilst the rapidly rising NRs are young. Christianity in the UK is dying - literally.

You made the third one up, I never use the word "fuckface", not even when e-mailing Dougie Freedman.

And for the record, I'm sure there was loads of swearing in Jesus's time - can you imagine having a crown of thorns forced into your head and not saying "fuck".

But the bible is read by kids so obviously needed to be PG rated.

Don't make me go thread searching.

Why would you have to search if you'd already quoted it from a thread?

You made it up. Apologise or die (you'll get a Christian burial).

You called me a "complete fuckface" during an argument about David Wheater.

I should remember, as it hurt like hell.

Sluffy wrote:in the west, religion, politics and the law are all three autonomous from each other, whereas Muslims have them all combined basically into one and that is why their religious leaders are so powerful in their communities.

Religious teachings to the young therefore take on massively more importance to them, as it is a means of control and education (indoctrination for life perhaps?)

It could be argued that religion, politics and law aren't autonomous in the West especially if you look at the USA - all are elements of power wielded by the same group of people regardless of the fact that they largely suppress dissent by implying that there is equal opportunity and preaching "freedom".

Whilst Islam has become more political in some parts of the world in response to Western intervention (and in some cases, personal ambition) over the last 30 years or so, fundamentally the practice for most ordinary Muslims hasn't changed much for centuries.

Whereas the insidious spread of the American Empire via communication media, materialism and economic leverage as well as military intervention is more apparent throughout the world (including Muslim countries) and has had an incredible impact on everyone, including the UK where our children are no longer like we were and we ourselves have changed. Britain is hardly recognisable as we continue to abandon our culture on our journey to become subsumed into Greater America - a journey we embrace wholeheartedly as a nation.

We are "free" in the newly americanised Western society. Free to stare at our televisions until our minds turn to jelly. Free to work like robots so we can buy stuff we previously didn't know we wanted. Free to send our kids off to war against people on the other side of the world. Free to squabble amongst ourselves in a struggle to get to the top of the materialistic pile with the nicest house, biggest car etc. Free to spoil our children with more toys and holidays than we ever dreamed of. Free to watch them grow into obese, media-obsessed, morally bankrupt sheep whose opinions are dictated to them by a screen.

Paranoid rant over.

Ok, Lusty...everything's fine, mate.........

Take a deep breath, keep looking at me and very slowly take your thumb off that trigger switch and relax.

Then unstrap that vest and lay it on the floor and we can have a nice cup of tea and a good old chin-wag about things.........

(Somebody call Special Branch, while I keep him talking......)

Surely he's right. Everyone on here is a Christian right? Ok, a lot of you faithless fools claim to be atheists (probably just to appear cool in my opinion) but I'm guessing those of you that are married were wed in a church and those with kids had them baptised.

Why are people scared to admit they follow God? He is the light in my life and he can be yours too.

So do you think we live in a Christian society?

Define God!!

Heard Clegg ballooning on about as a Christian Society we should respect other religions. Thank fuck I'm an infidel, at least I know where I stand with one particular religion.
I find it so amusing that cnuts like Cameron can pontificate about Christianity, can you point me in the direction of where homosexuality is promoted in the Bible? Dave promoted it in a contradictory type fashion by allowing marriage did he not?
And just for the record spent a very educational night in a Gay bar over the weekend in Munchen having good conversation with some plain and simple homosexuals!!
Another facet that puzzles me is how a self proclaimed former Preston business woman of the year, with much greater intelligence than mere plebs on here, can believe in fairy stories? Furthermore, has as been previously stated, the Anglo Saxon vocabulary used by the same is more expansive than can be found in the Collins English Dictionary. Smile
