Ask him can he score goals or play anywhere on the pitch ? I have a feeling you have been peeping at DF's new promotion planning notes.

But if we put him in the net he will block players from scoring in our net due to his big frame!!!

God help us if we have any striker injuries !

We don't need any strikers.
This is DF's need post World Cup plan didn't you know watching all that football has given him some new idea's he's bursting to try out.

1 - A goalkeeper (must have boating licence to punt up field)
2 - A Sweeper to take throw ins should the other side kick it out long in our half for a throw in
3 to 11- Midfielders who will all march forward as one solid unit nobody shall pass them as they take it in turn to score goals.

As a child sadly Doug was not read the tales of the second tier of football where it is known a striking partnership is the way to the promised land. A promised land where people rejoice and sing his name.  That's not for Doug there will be no rejoicing and singing his name that sort of behaviour drove him out of his last club to try again to create a new football world up north with the poor people. A new master plan ready for his final move into an independent Scotland who he will lead to a World Cup Victory.
Hurrah chips all round is his mission

I think he won't win another game in August, including Bury, so he should be up the road in September, early September.

IF and it's a big IF we can actually afford to get shut of him then after today, he might not see the end of September.

He needs to stop fucking about and get 2 strikers in now or he can kiss his job goodbye.

I'm predicting Monday, 27th October will be the day he gets the boot - two days after the Brentford game. We'll be on 8 points after 14 games and second from bottom.

He has less than 9 months left on his contract, it's not going to cost that much, Lennie will be happy with a years supply of Werthers originals, keep Fleming, and Fullarton, because they do seem to have a clue, but get rid of him soon, probably the only thing getting him out of jail is GArtside, how can he admit to 4 fuck ups?

Cheers JAH, but I meant on Oct 27th or as it shall come to be known "The Day We Got Rid Of Yet Another Scottish Dickhead."

My usual theory is that Phil will lose face if he is forced to get rid of doogie to soon.  So Christmas at best...more likely towards the end of the season when survival is assured.

With the players we have end of September.

At the latest.

Sadly, Gartside loves him so he'll be happy with a season that sees us finish one place above the relegation places, so long as Freedman doesn't start moaning and keeps reducing the wage bill.

Unfortunately, the quality of the football played no longer matters and he's going nowhere.

He seems to be doing just what Fatboy and uncle Eddie want. Unless we get relegated we've got no chance of getting shut of him. Crying or Very sad

Huddersfield have sacked their manager after the first game of the season.

I suspect we are not that decisive and as long as the team stays above the relegation zone and the wage bill is reduced, DF will remain, no matter how results are achieved and how much attendances suffer.

If we are bottom at Christmas, however, and the fans (and some players) are showing some signs of mutiny, PG may just be forced to act.

As if two years of proving yourself inept at motivation and tactics were not sufficient evidence!

Eddie Davies is a successful businessman, he isn't going to be stupid. He'll know that it's ok to trim the wage bill and bring in nothing but free transfers, but if the club continue to slip down divisions it will be counter-productive as the BWFC "brand" will be worth less and less each year.

If it's true Freedman is in the final season of his contract I expect Davies is just hoping we can avoid relegation and keep reducing the wage bill, then he'll get rid of Freedman next June when it'll cost nothing.

However, if there's a serious threat of relegation I don't doubt Freedman will be shown the door. It's never too expensive to sack a manager in football.

Good call - I should have guessed that.

Apparently yesterday, their bench looked like a load of Cubs waiting for the minibus to take them on a trip......
