WANDERERS are casting admiring glances towards Huddersfield Town winger Adam Hammill.

Dougie Freedman is a big fan of the Scottish winger but The Bolton News understands he is unlikely to make a move unless he loses one of his first-choice midfielders.

Chung-Yong Lee and Mark Davies have been linked with Premier League moves in the last few weeks.

Wanderers’ resolve to keep the pair is yet to be tested by a serious bid – but should that change, the 26-year-old would be one of the names on Freedman’s shortlist.

Davies was again missing from the squad which played in last night’s friendly at Rochdale, which only increased the speculation surrounding his future.

Adam Bogdan was also absent again, and talk is bound to continue about possible transfers for those two as Wanderers look to bring in much-needed cash to help their own rebuilding strategy.

Wanderers won the game at Spotland 2-0 with goals from Neil Danns and Conor Wilkinson, but they were not convincing and it was evident more work needs to be done ahead of the big kick-off in a little over two weeks.
