Let's say we beat Fulham and Swansea and lose against Newcastle.
That is 6 more points for us. 35 points.

Villa have four games in two weeks including Man U and Liverpool away (surely Liverpool will end their bad run). Let's say they lose those as a given. Sunderland and Stoke will not be pushovers either, lets be kind and say they can get 4 points.
That's 37 points in total.

So going into the Villa match:
Villa, played 34, points 37.
Bolton, played 33, points 35.

We will be a game in hand on them and with the chance to beat them since they will be in free fall and us in the ascendency. Win the Villa game and we would be a point ahead of them and have a game in hand. It would be superb to see a big gun like Aston Villa dropping down a peg, or even a division.

What I have projected is not beyond the realms of possibility. Even a draw against Villa could see us finishing above them. It's an interesting 6 pointer which is firmly on my radar - that will be the week when we know we will be staying up or fighting til the end!

Villa have been playing awful, negative football all season and they've particularly struggled since Darren Bent got injured.
They'd be on 31 if they'd not snatched a stoppage time winner at home to Fulham a few weeks ago, their only win in eight.

I would be concerned if I was a Villa fan.

Villa are awful, if they had 30 points and not 33 I'd back them for relegation because being defensive wouldn't keep them up.

What price a win at the Villa? It would take us out of the bottom 3 and park us just one point behind QPR and Wigan with a game in hand. Anything less than a win will spark off the celebrations in London, Wigan and Darwen as all we have going for us is the games in hand.
We have to assume that everyone else around us will win every game, so this is finally it IMO - shit or get off the pan.

Not for a minute. Players really don't care anymore, there will always be some other sucker club willing to pay them £40k per week to be shite.

This is a shit or bust game, I'd like to see Ngog & Sordell upfront and hit them with a bit of pace.

But Coyle will go with Kevin Davies upfront.

You'd think that no player, no matter how self-obsessed would not want to be tarnished with relegation as it would affect their personal income potential.

I actually don't think we lack effort in the team anymore. I think the effort put in against Swansea was good, its was our tactics that lost it. Shown by that fact that we actually managed a draw due to some the hard work of our defence getting in blocks etc. If Knight had played against Swansea we would have lost due to his 'I dont give a shit' attitude.

Still think we need to go 4-5-1 with this one, we just can't seem to last a whole game any other way.

Eagles for Prats again. Im by no stretch of the imagination a fan of Eagles but since he was dropped and reintroduced he seems to be trying harder and actually annoyed me a lot less against Swansea than he usually does. (+ the goal)

I don't want him on the wing though - attacking mid.

He brings more to the team than Pratley, however that isn't saying much.

Get in, Utd drew 4-4 to Everton.

We need City to still be playing for the title on the last day of the season so they turn up against QPR.

We sit 6 points behind Villa.
Beat them away and it's 3 points behind still with a game in hand.
So Jayjay we won't be a point ahead of them after the Villa game but we could conceivably be level soon if we pull some good results out of the bag.

It's part of the problem, perhaps if these players took some real abuse they might put a shift in. I will NEVER understand fans clapping players off the pitch after a defeat.

When we finally go down I will have a sniper well positioned somewhere in the North Stand.

We lose on tuesday, then lets get ready for next season, as we will be down (not mathematically speaking) but with 4 games and at least 4 points adrift, its basically game over!
