Beards are shit.

"Beardy twat" is a well known term of abuse.

You never hear anybody slagging anyone off for not having a beard, do you?

Many years ago my father told me to be careful around men with beards and who don't drink alcohol. I've found this to be a pretty good template as he said if they cover their faces they've something to hide in their lives.
This came home to roost some years later when my father in law was of that ilk and right royally stitched my mother in law up!!

"Fashion" has a lot to answer for as everything will be fashionable at least once.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that it became fashionable for men to be a nerd. It's incredible that wearing glasses and sporting foppish public school hair cuts were ever acceptable, let alone popular. Now beards - which my gran once described as being "for ugly men with something to hide" - are actually popular and we aren't even in Tehran.
What's next? Acne and Herpes?
