Lee Chung-Yong was one of four Bolton Wanderers called up during last week’s international break as South Korea took on Paraguay and Costa Rica in friendlies in Seoul.

First facing Paraguay, Lee Chung-Yong set up one goal and helped create another in the 2-0 win before being substituted at half-time.

The Whites wideman crossed for Min-Woo Kim to score the opener just before the half-hour mark, before then playing in defender Yong Lee who set up their second five minutes later.

He also completed the full 90 minutes in South Korea’s 3-1 defeat at home to World Cup quarter-finalists Costa Rica.

Meanwhile, Medo Kamara twice completed 90 minutes for Sierra Leone as their chances of qualifying for next year’s African Cup of Nations were left hanging by a thread.

As the Leone Stars twice lined up against Cameroon, they first drew 0-0 on Saturday before losing the return fixture against the Indomitable Lions 2-0 four days later.

With two games left to play, Sierra Leone will now have to win both of their matches and hope other results go their way if they are to stand any chance of qualifying.

Elsewhere, Tim Ream came on as a substitute just after the hour-mark in both of USA’s friendlies against Ecuador and Honduras as they drew 1-1 in both matches, while loanee Chris Herd started the Socceroos’ friendly against 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar, completing 64 minutes in a 1-0 defeat.
