Have you ever had Opihr gin?

I haven't until today and I know it may seem a bold statement but it is now my favourite gin.

It's proper swilling tackle, obviously with ice, a slice of lemon and tonic.  

I like Gin and never heard of it until now, generally have Bombay Sapphire.

The Bombay is the old favourite.

Well it says on the botanicals list that there is peppers from Indonesia and India in it (my brother reckons that he can taste the pepper) but I find it quite fruity and don't quite get the pepper coming through.

It's very slurpable like Bombay Sapphire but for me it's just a slight step up.

Oh and it was bought at Morrisons I believe.

I'm probably going to get "disappeared" soon because I have just openly criticised Sluffy for being a wimp and allowing a certain prick back on here and then wishing him "a great day" on his (made up) birthday, so I'm getting it in now.

(Although, given Sluffy's unwillingness to actually ban people, I may survive!)

This place used to be a laugh but I'm not sure it is anymore.

Recent events have made me think that the people running this place are more interested in numbers than content.

And that's a real shame.

Just carry on regardless Breadman, it's always been about quantity rather than quality with Sluffy.

Actually, I bought two litres of 47% Bombay Saphire for £28 (duty free) about 18 months ago and hardly touched it as I've not been on the gin so much lately. Then I took some to a party last week as it was all I had in the cupboard, and remembered what good stuff it is.

It's ok bread. Even if you did get banned you could just come back with a new name and carry on regardless. don't get me wrong, personally, I don't have a problem with Scott, but it doesn't say much for the integrity of the forum, does it?

Though I wouldn't describe myself as a Gin connoisseur Copper I have been known to sample Doffy's Bombay Sapphire with some enthusiasm on several occasions. If he does purchase some of the stuff you are recommending I will pass judgement on it and let you know my findings.
