Stale Solbakken - Who?

The next Wolves boss apparently -

Wolves are set to appoint Stale Solbakken as their new manager in the next few days, BBC Sport understands.

The Norwegian, who was sacked by Cologne last month, will be confirmed as Mick McCarthy's permanent successor in the coming days.

The 44-year-old ex-Wimbledon player held talks with the club on Thursday.

Terry Connor, who took over on a caretaker basis following McCarthy's dismissal, is expected to be retained on the coaching staff.

It sounds like gone off German bread.

I wouldn't put it past Gartside to appoint McCarthy as Coyle's replacement.

If I was a Wolves fan I would feel let down by their board. Why didn't they go for someone fresh ?

To be fair he has a good record in Denmark and Norway, but appears to have flopped in Germany recently.

Champions league experience though and apparently likes "sexy football."
