Football can be a dangerous game

3 West Ham supporters were killed in the M40 pile up yesterday on their way to the match.

Whether killed accidentally like yesterday, or murdered senselessly like the Leeds fans in Turkey or even in crushes like Burnden and hillsborough and more recently in Egypt, following your team can be pretty dangerous at times.

You never expect such a tragedy to happen when you walk out of your front door to go and watch your team.

Thoughts go out to the families of those who died yesterday. We may not support the same team but we all love the same game.

Sad news.

It is very dangerous supporting a football team, but not as dangerous as eating toast.
I would have thought that around half of all the deaths in the UK happened to football supporters whereas almost all UK deaths happened to people who had eaten toast.
Clearly eating toast is a deadly pastime and my thoughts are with toast-eaters everywhere.
