Cheers fellas.
I'm currently working my way through the "real ale" beers I got from Morrison's earlier and if I'm honest, I'm not impressed.
It all tastes like it's been sieved through a Legionnaire's sock and it can't really be described as a pleasant experience.
Think I'll stick to mass produced, generic, chemical filled lager in future.
(Cue torrents of abuse from the CAMRA massive!)

It's very "yeasty" isn't it?
I offered Mrs B a swig and she sniffed it and said "Good God! Thrush in a glass!"
She writes for the Good Ale Guide by the way.

You did pick some of the Badger brews.
I've never thought that they were any good either.
You should have gone for the Greene King assorted because it's impossible not to like three of the brews, even if you like to drink mass produced yellow fizz normally.

You like Guinness though Bonce.
The Badger brews always seem to be too sweet ( Fursty ferret and Tanglefoot)
Golden Champion is drinkable.
I'm only going off the bottled brews in supermarkets though. There are many Badger brews and I wouldn't be for not trying them in cask.

Hang on a minute......
Fursty Ferret is sweet...?
How are we defining "sweet" exactly?
I picked up quite a few flavours when I drank it earlier: Yeast, socks, Bovril, toe-nails, underpants (well worn), shortbread and veg soup.
And I think you'd be hard pressed to describe any of those things as sweet.
I'm e-mailing Oz Clarke as we speak for clarification.

I still buy a copy of Viz at the airport when we go on holiday.
It's a tradition.
I sit there reading it on the bog for two weeks and I ration it out to maximise my reading pleasure.
One story per poo.
I'm a sophisticate, me.
I'm in the audience for Question Time in Bolton next week. (Honestly - I applied via e-mail and they've sent me an e-ticket.)
Look out for the bloke with the foppish grey hair and the permanently raised right arm.
I'll learn 'em!

I'll be watching. Don't forget the partial eclipse tomorrow.
It'll probably elicit the usual response from the residents of Burnley.
