I remember being quite fond of Sonja Kristina as well for some reason. Curved Air's big hit was called Back Street Love, I think.

Very sad. Radio 6 aired an old interview with him this morning and he told the story of how he gave away the rights to When a Man Loves a Woman soon after he had written it. No regrets though, said he was just too young to understand the business at the time and that there was no point dwelling on it. Sounded like a top fella.
