I don't normally read the music thread, and now I have I can not understand how it has got to so many pages without an in depth examination of the musical genius of Tina Charles

That Lush song's really grown on me since you posted it, Mr Pig.
I likes it.
It's got that swirly late 80's / early 90's guitar sound that always takes me back.
A bit reminiscent of The Cocteau Twins.
Great stuff.

Norpig, I must be getting old because I don't recognise a single group that you have mentioned.
I was brought up listening to the Ink Spots and The Platters. Proper musicians.

The Four Tops were another belting group of crooners. One or two eagle eyed viewers might just spot a young John Barnes before he signed for Watford.

I like that, cheers for posting.
Sort of like Black Francis meets New Order with somebody else lobbed in who I can't quite put my finger on right now.
Good stuff!

they've been compared to early Simple Minds and Echo and the Bunnymen amongst others Breaders, they remind me of the first album era Stereophonics (when they were good) it's very anthemic, i reckon they will be huge before long.

I'm definitely going to check 'em out.
Speaking of "early Simple Minds", I was a proper SM snob at school because I had a copy of I Travel on 12" before they got massive and started playing stadiums and marrying actresses and stuff.
I've still got it now.
I really must buy a record player......

Richard Ashcroft is a god. My favourite musician of all time.
Seen him live 5 times. 3 with the verve and twice with his solo stuff . He sounds even better live too.
