The greatest song by the greatest band ever.
No arguments, no discussion and yes, I've had a few.
Sorry if I've posted this before but it deserves a continued and a very wide promotion to a new audience (including toddlers in pushchairs because we need them to defeat Cowell) - Let's get it to No1 Kids!
Maybe not......
Anyroad, back in the day.......
Tony The Greek, Piccadilly 261 circa 1983......

And if you're still in any doubt about how brilliant they were back in the 80's......

I remember buying Safe As Milk back in 1967 (68?) and most of my friends hating it.

Nat Lofthouse
Filmed on location in the High Mojave Desert near Lancaster, California; clip rejected by MTV USA as "too weird" upon release, now in the Permanent Film and Video Collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NYC.

Never heard The Chameleons before Breaders. Really liked that and will investigate further.
Speaking of the Eighties this was always one of my favourites.

Good call!
I saw The Pale Fountains supported by The Bridewell Taxis at The Boardwalk in 1980something.
Happy days.
Pre-Madchester before it all kicked off and hype became more important than substance.
The Chameleons are still touring and play The Witchwood in Ashton fairly regularly.
Deffo worth checking out.
Mark Burgess is a top bloke and the current ensemble still really capture the sound that they had back in the 80's.

Used to stagger up Mornington Road after a night out at Halliwell Lodge and The Lion, possibly stopping off at Allens Fried Chicken on Chorley Old Rd for some fuel, or maybe not depending on how well the legs were functioning.....
And then get home and try and swerve Mum & Dad in the Living Room and then wobbling off upstairs to eat my burger in bed.
With my headphones on.
Listening to The Chameleons and The Wedding Present.
Happy, happy days....

And this:
Just in case you hadn't sussed it already, peeps, I quite lie The Chameleons.
And have done for 30 years.

What Does Anything Mean Basically is the best one in my humble opinion - it's a cracker!
You won't be disappointed, mate.
