I've not heard a lot of The Band but what I have iv'e liked.

Listen to The Byrds quite a lot, so it's The Byrds for me.

No question about it for me - The Byrds. Younger Than Yesterday is one of my favourite albums and Eight Miles High is one of my all time favourite singles. The Band never really did much for me.
