And the piece de resistance - The Pie Thread.

I don't remember any of you on 606. I think you're confused.
I remember sluffy, Hipster and Michael Bolton.

To be fair, I did tend to spend most of my time hanging round the "Fencing" and "Rowing" sections, posting about waney lap panels and arguments.
And of course the "Bowls" section.
Breakfast cereal: Which is best to eat it from, deep or shallow?

Do you mean the real 606 or that terrible "ja 606" or whatever it was.
I was on bbc606. Which granted was absolutely terrible because of the formatting. Nats threads were legendary though, back when I was genuinely wummed constantly.

Proper BBC 606.
The one that was modded by 18 year old work experience Nazis and shut down at eleven o'clock every night.

Oh I had forgotten about the 11pm cutoff time!!! If you timed it right you could get your response just in time and the other poster would have to wait until 7am (I think) to respond!! Ah good times!

The likes of Mrs Respectable, Natasha, Le God, Hipster, Stinky the Frog, Monty, Paulo Durate, and myself (just to name a few) were some of the earliest members of the old BBC606 site - maybe even some of the origal posters from when it was set up.
The modding and the early closure was dreadful and led to Billy Bradshaw setting up Bolton Banter, to which the majority of the 606 crew jumped ship too.
A year or so later a fresh crowd of 606ers became established and similar to us they found that site limiting and jumped ship, this time to the then small forum known as The Wanderer. I seem to remember 'Mummy', Meat Pie and chips, and probably Zulu, and Crazy Horse being amongst their number.
The Johnny come latelys to 606 were those like Bread and Jah, who were there at its demise and who mostly moved over to the mirror designed site of JA606.
It would have been fantastic for all of the three 'waves' of Bolton fans to be together on one site - we do after all support the same club but people have decided that they have their likes and dislikes and that is why a proliferation of BWFC forums exist to this day - even though most of them hardly have anybody posting on them often.
I've tried to bring a couple of our sites together in the recent past but have been rebuffed and people have even rather seen their sites fade and die than pass on the offer.
So much for the comradery of fellow whites and the best for all of us when their own personal agendas and perceived slights from years back are more important to them than their fellow posters who they rather leave without a forum to post on rather than put to them an offer of joining our respective sites together.
Small minds (and dead forums)!
Such is life.

i only found the old 606 quite late on and carried on to JA606 before i came here. I do remember Reebok Bricks and his cruises, what ever happened to him?
I never really commented much on 606 just tended to read but this site is a hundred times better than JA606

Fair enough. The budget isn't that interesting.
So if we're talking BWFC chatrooms, what about Bolton Mad aka Reebok Rant? I know a few on here still post on it including our token Claret and a couple of the mods.

I don't think any of the mods on here post on Mad, I know I can't, I got banned by the 'site' mod (not the Bolton Mad mods of Mo Choudhury and bwfcforever - who I thought were two of the most fairest mods around on any BWFC forum)
When we set up Nuts, I had asked the mods for permission to advertise on there (on a reciprocal basis) and was gladly given it only to be banned out of the blue a year or so later (exactly the same thing happened to me at JA606 too!).
I contacted Mad directly a number of times to seek clarification for the ban but no one bothered to reply. Eventually I managed to get my message to the Bolton Mods and to cut a long story short the site mod would not lift my ban - even though the Bolton mods had confirmed I had permission from them.
I fully believe that Mo left the site shortly afterwards as a consequence of how I was treated and the position he had been put in, in having given his word and how he was over-ruled by someone who knew nothing about that particular element of the site, the community spirit it engendered and the then ethos of Bolton Mad forum.
It was a bad, bad day for Mad when Mo left.
Fair play and a big thank you from me, for standing up for your principles Mo, if you ever read this.

Maybe!
The original Mo popped up on the clubs official forum (which was un-modded and eventually shut down because of the abuse and threats of violence!).
This Mo was the 'funny' Mo.
When the club site closed a Mo of the same name started posting on Bolton Mad with a different more 'serious' way. He soon became so popular and treated people fairly that he was asked to become a mod on that site.
I did once ask the 'serious' Mo if he was also the 'funny' Mo but he denied it.
I liked both the Mo's.

BBC 606 was over-moderated due to the BBCs constant fear that somebody may be mildly offended.
The whole BBC as a whole is a cesspool of political correctness, not gone mad, but totally doolally!

Didn't you get into a protracted war with Reebok Rowbot on there or did I dream it?

The accounts are published, but although unlikely it seems possible that Lennon might have a few quid to spend providing he keeps a grip on wages.
But I wouldn't be surprised if the Board piss him off.
