Football by definition is a sport played on a level playing field, except it's not level, the people with the deepest pockets win, just curious to know what people think????
Do you think, a salary cap and a transfer fee cap would work in pro football??

Nice idea, but I don't think it'll be allowed to happen.
Too much at stake for the money men.

FFP is a good idea but it's done half arsed and has more holes in it than a colander.

Like FFP, a salary cap is a good idea in principle, but as Copps points out, there are always ways round it which will be exploited by the more powerful, ie richer clubs.
In Rugby League, they get round the salary cap by paying players' wives as "consultants" and effectively doubling the players' wages without breaking the rules.
It's up to the sports' governing bodies to properly enforce the rules and impose meaningful penalties for anyone who transgresses but (again) as Copps points out, it certainly isn't happening in football.
So it's all a bit pointless and nothing changes.

I have a wage cap at Whittam International of £5 an hour. It works perfectly.
