Asistant manager Johan Mjallby says the Wanderers coaching staff are already planning for a summer rebuild but declined to comment on potential targets.
Speculation yesterday linked the Whites with Rotherham United’s Wales international defender Craig Morgan and Celtic striker Anthony Stokes – the latter having been signed for the Hoops by Wanderers boss Neil Lennon during his time at Parkhead.
But Mjallby would not be drawn on names that may be in the Whites’ summer shopping list.
The Swede said: “We are going to be linked with a lot of players.
“We are looking to strengthen the squad and get players in who will be suited to the way we want to play next season.
“That work continues behind the four walls but that stays between us.
“It is a great challenge for us especially having a pre-season and being able to shape the way we want Bolton to play.”
