Little Hulton's nowhere near as bad as people make out.

I've lived in far worse places in Bolton in the past.

The wife's family live on the Peel Estate which used to have a really bad reputation but in nearly 20 years of visiting them and getting to know the locals, I've made some proper friends.

Good, decent people and a lot more pleasant than some of the twats I've come across in Lostock and other "posh" places.

Lived in LH as a lad many years ago.
Used to be two farms on cleggs Lane,and although the place has changed a lot,I too think it gets a pretty raw deal. Still got friends there,with whom I spent many happy sundays playing footy in the park. Happy memories of the place.

We always considered Worsley posh.

This is true. I joke about it but there are a lot of good people round here. People that would do anything for you.

I lived on Johnson Fold for two years when I got divorced from Mrs B Version 1.0 and it was great.

I moved in with my mate near the Doffcocker.

There's a lot of snobbery about council estates from people who've never lived on one.

I fuckin' hate people who look down their noses at others just because of where they live.

Unless it's Wigan, which is fine.

We lived on Baron Fold Crescent,and we weren't posh.
Dad drank his tea out his saucer,which used to embarrass the hell out of Mum.
We did though,have a knife just for spreading the butter.
