I was at the Botham Test match.
To pick some different ones than those above -
Miracle at Medinah (2012)
The greatest come points back on the final day of the Ryder Cup ever - edge of the seat stuff.
Stephen Roche's amazing comeback against Pedro Delgado at La Plagne in the 1987 Tour de France (1987)
Delgado thought he had cracked Roche (and thereby win that years Tour), everybody else did too but Roche put in a supreme effort to close the gap between the riders to keep his hope alive, on the beast of a mountain called La Plagne.
Delgado was a broken man after this and Roche did indeed go on to win the Tour for the first and only time for Ireland.
(actually the video doesn't really show the tension and the drama of the build up which you experienced watching it live).
David Hughes - The over in the Dark (1971)
Back in the day before floodlights and Duckworth Lewis, Lancashire won a match they should not have in the dark - the clock shows 8.45pm - due to an amazing over of batting by a Lancashire spin bowler.
