The reason i am thinking about this is when i was a kid i was always out and about somewhere. at the top end of harwood where i lived there was a lot of hills and farms and even a quarry that we used to go and "explore"
We'd also go river walking down longsight park and we where always playing football either in the street or walking to various pitches.
All of this was without adult supervision.
Me and a mate even built a go kart once. rickety as hell and dangerous as fook but we built it.
It's a shame because most of the dangers that are around now where probably still around back then, but with the internet and news being a lot more in your face these days the horrors stories you hear come thick and fast.
Which means of course you have to be a lot more cautious with your own kids (and grandkids) and they won't get to experience half of what we did as children.
Whats your memories and things that your kids/grandkids probably won't get to experience unless you do it with them?
