He only played 100 games in 8 years, so we can't really complain if he gets an opportunity to move to a higher paying club, good luck to him I reckon, Lets be honest, its a big gamble for him.

Most players that move away from Bolton for 'bigger and better things' ... usually fall flat on their faces.
Diouf and Rio-coker prime examples.

Not likely to come off the bench at Liverpool ...... they probably doubled his salary so can't blame him for that.
Can we use some of that salary to get Lonnie to back up Amos ? or has Lonnie signed somewhere...I lost track of him at the minute.

Lonnergan was on high wages as well I think, but hes rumoured to be going to Fulham
Fulham are ready to snap up free agent Andy Lonergan following his release by Bolton Wanderers, according to reports in Lancashire.
The 31-year-old is available after leaving the Trotters this summer and the Bolton News claims the former Leeds United goalkeeper is on the verge of signing for the Craven Cottage club.
Lonergan as a former England U21 international and is understood to have been shown the door as part of a cost-cutting exercise by Bolton despite making 32 appearances last term.
He moved across the Pennines from Yorkshire in 2012 after leaving Leeds United, having previously been named player of the year twice at his hometown club Preston.
Lonergan would provide competition for Marcus Bettinelli between the sticks in west London, with Whites boss Kit Symons confident of hanging onto the in-demand keeper and starlet Pat Roberts.
"We can keep them, for sure, and that's what we plan on doing,” Symons said.
“They've developed at this football club and they'll continue to develop here. It's a good place for young players to be.
"We want to keep hold of all our best young players, we want them to have a bright future with Fulham."
Bettinelli has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer while Roberts has reportedly been tracked by Manchester City and Arsenal.
