How about Dave Spikey heading up a consortium with backing from Vernon Kay and the scary looking woman who used to be on Dragon's Den who made a fortune out of logistics?
And, er.......Ivan Campo as manager?
Let's see if they'd run that.....
Tony Knowles has been keeping very quiet lately - could he be stepping up to the table any time soon?

Good call!
Anybody know what Stu Francis is up to these days?
Doe he still live on Harper's Lane?
I might give him a knock when I go up and see my Dad later.....

There is a Rolls Royce parked outside the stadium, near the main entrance.
Now that's either Tyson Fury or the big takerover man.

According to rumour, Gartside once shat on Sam,when he asked for more money- but now the tables will be turned and Sam can enjoy doing the same in reverse.

Ok, Allardyce and Holdsworth will look to bring in Phil Brown until the end of the season when allardyce can leave Sunderland and take up the managers position back at Bolton with brown as his assistant. It will be the beginning of something special again

I have to say that I find it quite bizarre that there is a Chris Mann and a Chris Manning.

If I'm being honest the info didn't come from my mole this time, he was holidaying at Phil Gartside's Caribbean villa.
The info came from a League 1 assistant manager.

Bloody hell, it's official:

Ex-Bolton Wanderers striker Dean Holdsworth leading investment consortium at Macron Stadium
Former Wanderers captain Dean Holdsworth is fronting a consortium seeking to buy into the club, The Bolton News understands.
The one-time record signing is acting as a business consultant for Sport Shield Consultancy – a company specialising in football investment – which has held high-level meetings at the Macron Stadium in recent weeks.
Wanderers have declined to comment officially on the nature of the talks, or the timeframe involved, but sources have confirmed that former striker Holdsworth has met with officials to discuss potential funding options.
A report from fans’ website Lion of Vienna, based on information from their own sources within the Macron, also revealed some potentially startling details yesterday.
They linked two other former Bolton captains, Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce and Southend United boss Phil Brown with an interest in the consortium.
It was even reasoned within the article that a new chairman would be installed as part of wide-scale changes, and that ex-first team coach Brown could return to replace Neil Lennon as manager – although the latter scenario looks unlikely in the extreme.
Allardyce is only a few weeks into his new job at the Stadium of Light, while Brown signed a new three-year contract with Southend in the summer and helped the Essex club to promotion via the League Two play-offs last season.
It is worth noting that Wanderers have found themselves at this stage of negotiations before. Interested parties at home and abroad have discussed investment and future plans but failed to make the all-important final offer.
Little is known of Sport Shield’s make up aside for that fact several other former footballers including Nigel Spackman, John Scales and Tony Dorigo all list the company among their current employers.
Sport Shield is known to provide financial and insurance advice to individuals and clubs in the game, including agents.
Former England B international Holdsworth signed for the Whites from Wimbledon in October 1997 for a club record £3.5million fee.
The 47-year-old is currently managing Isthmian Premier League side Burtonwood Town after spells at Chelmsford, Newport and Aldershot.
