Bodde is a Sean Davis, Sluffy. He's fucked.

Some interesting names, but very few we could realistically hope to sign.

I'd approach Danny Murphy, Carlos Cuelar, Ryan Nelson, Andy Johnson and Paul Sharner.

Agree with all of them, although I don't think any would come to us, can see all of them with the possible exception of Nelsen being offered contracts in the premier league or abroad. Can see Johnson heading to America or UAE or something. Guthrie's been released too, he looked like a good player towards the end of the season but Pardew's let him go because he wants first team, if no premier league clubs got him I'd take him straight away.

Danny Murphy would be a good signing. Every team needs someone who can pass.

Simeon Jackson would be lethal at Championship level and just the sort of guy I'd like to see alongside Sordell (and I mean alongside him on the pitch, not on the bench).

Another one who would be lethal at Championship level is Roman Bednar, and he seeems fo have a bit of fight about him too.

I'd also love to see Ricardo Fuller at Bolton, we should have signed him 4/5 years ago when we had chance. But I suspect he's too old for Coyle's plans.

Tell everyone you're going to buy exciting young players and pass your way to the title.

In reality it means Kevin Davies up front and signing midfielders who can't pass.

Gai Assulin would be a quality signing if he could stay fit. Unfortunately don't think he ever will be the player everyone predicted when he was at Barcelona.

Simeon Jackson and Aaron Wilbraham could probably do a job for us to.

Gai Assulin and Simeon Jackson would be my selections. Ronaldinho has left Flamengo - worth a punt?

Ronaldinho has left Flamengo claiming they have underpaid him by £12m over two years. I don't think we can accommodate that. Maybe if we don't pay anyone else.

Think of the shirts we'd sell!

Scharner is worth looking at. He's experienced and can do a job for us. If Knight decides to offer his services elsewhere then all we have left as an experienced centre back is Ream,as Wheatear is out for months. Ream himself has only done half a season in the English game- so he himself is not that exprienced.. Boyata hopefully will go back to City and stay there, and moving Ricketts over only creates a problem at full back. Getting another centre back is critical for Coyle. If Ream gets injured then we're stuffed.
Coyle has shown no great success in recruiting from the lower leagues- so if Knight goes ( which I, for one hope he doesn't) then the likes of Scharner become a possibility as he can do a job for us for at least a season.

Scharmer would be solid, good player and can cover multiple positions ...... also if you are talking punts.....Hargreaves and Micheal Owen ......but on a strictly per game basis. Both too old probably but Hargreave has the legs of a 25 years old having barely played for years. And Owen has more pace on one leg than SKD. Neither are likely of course but I can't see who else would want them.
