Alex Samizadeh impressive's goalscoring form continued as Bolton Wanderers Under-18s saw their four-game winning run come to an end against Coventry City on Wenesday.

Having seen Tyrell Palmer twice denied in one-on-one situations, the Whites found themselves 2-0 down at the break as Coventry scored two quick-fire goals.

Responding after the interval, Samizadeh was denied by the crossbar, before he later saw an effort blocked on the line having already seen his initial strike kept out by the Sky Blues goalkeeper.

However, the forward was not to be denied a third time as he expertly volleyed home Palmer's cross late on for his tenth goal from just seven Under-18s appearances.

Sadly his effort proved to just be a consolation at Lostock, as, with Bolton continuing to push forward for an equaliser, Coventry caught them out at the back to net their third of the match and seal the points in stoppage-time.

After the game Under-18s coach David Lee told bwfc.co.uk; "We did not start too well and were punished as we conceded two goals in the first half.

"We were much better throughout the second half and pressed for an equaliser after Alex Samizadeh scored, while he was also very unlucky to be denied on two other occasions.

"But overall, we didn't do enough to win the game. It's important that the players learn from this and respond well in our next game against Hull City."
