Neil Lennon admits his side’s Jekyll and Hyde displays on the roads are a source of major frustration but will attempt to find a cure tonight at Preston.
The Whites haven’t won away from the Macron since April but Lennon feels they have shown form in short bursts that suggests they are capable of ending the run.
“We need to start putting two good halves together away from home – why it is we seem to play well one half and then not as well the next, or vice versa, I don’t know,” he said.
“It isn’t ideal but there hasn’t been a dip in the spirit here. The players believe in themselves and believe in what they are doing.
“We analyse games and talk them through and it’s very rare that we’re overly critical. We’re always looking to accentuate the positives and make sure they know how well they’ve played for large parts of the game.
“There hasn’t really been any dissenting voices even though we’re at the foot of the table.”
