Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Tom Tom layout is better but it is only free up to 50 miles per month or somewhere abouts then you need to pay. It will also take you down more daft roads and dead ends than Google maps so I would say go with Google maps. The fact that it's free makes it a bit of a no brainer.
