Been to my local Morries just before closing time, bought enough to feed me this week, and largely healthy stuff as well, for the princely sum of £6.12. Best bargain, whole chicken, freezable and not out of date yet anyway, for 9p. I've got some bits in, like herbs and spices, and this didn't include any household items, just food, but still...whats your best bargain buy ever been?

Tesco's wine price glitch they had for a good couple of years.
Bottles of wine worked out at £1.19 each at one point!

I bought a two year old Ford Focus for three grand from Mrs B's place because they'd marked it up at the wrong price when they put it on the part-ex log and she spotted it, rang me up quick and did the admin on her own staff sale.
Saved about eight grand.
And nobody has ever questioned it to this day.
All perfectly legal and above board.
(And it's a VW dealership so they deserve it.)

My beloved Springer Spaniel.
Cost me nothing.
In return I got 14 years of fun and laughter.
That's a bargain in my book.

lots of dog mentions recently on here, I'd love love love to get one, but like someone else (sorry can't remember who) think it would be a selfish thing to do as I currently couldn't do the best I can for the animal. But boncey, you are making it difficult to resist....

The best four hundred quid I've ever spent.
(Although we had a reckon up recently of everything he destroyed in the house when he was a pup including several walls, a coffee table, a 3 seater settee and various items of clothing and it came to about three grand, so the ROI wasn't really the best in pure financial terms.)

I know where you're coming from Bread.
Freshly made bed + wet dog = chaos.

I was watering the garden one afternoon, when she grabbed the end of the hose and took it into the house. I got the blame!
