Fact - ITK!

(My source is 5Live and it's just been on the radio.)
Nothing on Radio 4 about it.
He's gone, see here:

Maybe they will tempt David Moyes?

I don't understand why Rovers fans got behind Bowyer for as long as they did.

He was no different to Steve Kean in terms of his CV and he's done a crap job from start to finish all things considered.

When you've endured Steve Kean I suspect fred west would have seemed decent.

I wonder if this is from the same source that the Lion of Vienna (the obnoxious and abusive Chris Manning aka the internet forum poster 'Batman') who gave them the exclusive that the club was being dissolved just a few months back!?

If Manning and his cronies posted that it was raining outside, I'd still go to the window to see for myself - that's how much I believe him/them!

A consortium headed up by Dean Holdsworth and his (fairly) new employers Sports Shield Consultancy, if you believe the rumours.

A company which provides financial consulting services to football clubs, players and agents.

But which doesn't appear to have a website.

Initial gut reaction?

Utter bollocks.

Further considered thought:

If there is any truth in it, I'm not sure it would be good news. But that's just because I automatically distrust anybody who does anything to help football agents.

Apart from putting them out of their misery by means of a bullet through the back of the head.

Edit:

Whilst I can't find anything out about Sports Shield Consultancy on the interwebs, I have come across a listing on various financial sites for a "Sports Shield Investments".

A company which has only been in existence since 31st July 2015 and lists only one director: D Holdswoth esq.

Separate company incorporated specifically for the takeover.....?

Nixon has confirmed that they're in talks, but says " see if there is any money".

God I hope this is true.

I once shared a hot tub with Dean Holdsworth. Top guy.

Yes, I seem to remember he always had a taste for sloppy tarts.

And he was always a classy operator:

Dean Holdsworth

Every footballer's wife's nightmare, teenage glamour model Linsey Dawn McKenzie used her 36GG charms to beguile Dean Holdsworth in 1996. One al fresco liaison took place on the bonnet of the then Wimbledon striker's £83,000 BMW. The romance ended swiftly when the young 'stunna' discovered that Holdsworth was married. 'I was gutted,' Linsey told the People. 'He was fit, good-looking and wore stylish designer clothes.'
Linsey Dawn is now plying her trade on the hard-core porn circuit in America.

Outrageous post. Would you have said that to the Bath politician?

Probably not.

But that said, Manda probably has more class than to jump into a hot tub with a greasy footballer, just on the strength of a vague promise of Twirl and a can of fizzy Vimto for any "favours" received.

Was he a sensitive lover?

Did he take care not to repeatedly bash your forehead against the taps?
