What happened to our scout?

What ever happened to the scout we were funding abroad? Did he do a runner with all the cash monies?

I think he did à Gartside.

Very odd is that! Last time I heard from him,  he told me he had to go and do national service ( even though he is a 28 yr old mature student ). He told me he was likely to be sent to the Northern Nigeria where that pesky Procol Harum mob are causing chaos by kidnapping schoolies. I haven't heard hide nor hair from him since, so I can only assume he has bitten the dust. Sad really, because he was ever so grateful for all his Wanderers Paraphernalia kindly sent to him by Owen Coyle.
Personally, I used to look forward to his monthly jungle reports and I can vouch that he was always paid for his scouting endeavours.
He was quite pally with Magoo. Perhaps he can shed some light on the current situation?
