Might be wishful thinking but only thing I can think of is Trev & Co have accept the bids in hope that the buyers up their game to buy the club.. Without our better young players we're fooked?

When I first saw that "we go into admin in nobody buys within 48 hours" nonsense, I thought it was a bluff to get the bidders to make a move - because there was no obvious business need to do it right now.

The when we didn't go into admin AND Vela and Clough were selected I thought that maybe one of the bidders has made a move and had put up enough money to cover the immediate bills plus keep the players.

Now that it seems the deals are falling through because the players can't agree terms/want to leave I'm thinking that no deal has been struck - yet - because they want to do a deal but both the sellers and buyers are playing a game of chicken.

My current thinking is that the buyers are seeing what they can shave off the price/looking to improve the terms of sale but intend to buy eventually whilst for now it's a matter of seeing who blinks first.

But the money for the bills has to come from somewhere if it isn't coming from the sale of players so somebody will have to blink.

They've sold another chunk of the car park according to Iles, so that's this week's bills sorted.

Everybody at Cardiff is now denying that Vela was even on their radar - "Bid? What bid?"

Steve Cotterill is reported to have pulled the plug on the ZC deal because he's not prepared to wait any longer for an answer from the player.

And Mark Davies is now believed to prefer a move to fellow relegation candidates Fulham over a switch to promotion chasing Wednesday because they (FFC) will pay him the £20k a week he wants and Wednesday won't. But it's all about the football and not the money apparently.

It's a mess and I can't see anything happening before the winding up hearing next week because if there are any interested parties (and it's still a big if for me), they're happy to wait 'til we're in Administration and then pick over the bones.

(That's if ED can't get his Supporters' Trust ratified in time and flog the club to himself them for a quid and keep hold of what's left of the property assets.)
