That's uncanny.

Because that's a verbatim transcript of Mrs B's parting words to me as she left for work this morning.

Spooky!

Slim chance a cable has worked its way loose.

Breadders, whip the electric off and unscrew the switch off and check if the cables are loose.

I hope you don't do your own electrics at home kp, although that would explain your tendencies for starting fires.  Very Happy

How long did it take them to get the electricity back on after you caused the blackout on your estate?

I'm not posh enough to live on an estate so it can't have been me. Very Happy

If you're homeless then Whittam will put you up. It's not a problem.

Just watching Tim Peake mending the external electrics on the solar panel array on the ISS as it orbits the Earth, 250 miles up.

My fan / light is still knackered.

Never in my entire life have I felt less manly.

I once had to be rescued from the top of a tree by the fire brigade, under the mirthful gaze of about twenty girl guides. It made the local paper.
The shame is still raw.
I was fifteen,and showing off.

It'll be something and nothing like a loose wire and if I can ever find any of my phillips screwdrivers (which have all mysteriously disappeared) I'll have a look.

To be honest, it's quite cosy eating with a lamp on the table - it's almost like a posh restaurant.
