ditto - Bolton has such a fascinating history, from humble beginnings to where we are now and , must admit, I, too, like seeing old photographs of the town. Also have to admit that one of my favourite columns in the Bolton News is the Looking Back section.

There used to be a famous author from Bolton who wrote a few books about life in Bolton and Lancashire in the early 1900's. His name escapes me at the moment.
