However, the Brazilian completed a first half hat-trick with two further strikes to put Chelsea in control of the tie.
Not letting up after the break, second half goals from Eden Hazard and Bertrand Traore wrapped up a 5-1 victory for Guus Hiddenk's side to seal Dons' fate as they suffered a fourth-round exit.
