Gary Madine will be in the squad to face Burnley tomorrow after resolving his differences with manager Neil Lennon.
The striker was axed at Birmingham City in midweek after a comment he made last Saturday following the 1-1 draw against QPR.
But speaking this morning Lennon confirmed that Madine had made an apology and that the issue would not hinder his selection against the Clarets.
“That is all resolved now,” he told The Bolton News. “He will be in the squad and he’s training today.
“It is what it is. Lesson learned.
“I am experienced enough to handle that kind of thing. Gary knows he was in the wrong but he came in, we sat down and sorted it out and we can move on now.”
Lennon also confirmed Wanderers were back in the High Court this morning to submit paperwork before club representatives head to a Football League meeting this afternoon, both with a view to having Sports Shield’s takeover confirmed.
“Hopefully it will all get confirmed by the league today and if that is the case, hopefully we get the embargo lifted and be able to strengthen the team in the short term. Having new people in to run the club will be great,” he said.
“Getting new players in is vital. Injuries are starting to stack up a little bit and they are important players as well.
“The fact we can’t bring anyone in has really hampered us, so the sooner the embargo is lifted, the better.”
