David Cameron said tax avoidance was "morally wrong" and we "need to do something about it".
Well, he can ask his dad, who made the family fortune through tax havens.
Or perhaps his next door neighbour, the Chancellor, who has a £2m offshore trust account.
Or perhaps the guy who has funded his party for over a decade from Belize.
Or Sir Philip Green, who was asked by the Government to tell it how to
spend its money more efficiently, just after legally avoiding £300m in
tax.
Or Vodafone, who were let off paying £5bn in taxes and continue to technically run their company from a small shop in Switzerland.
Or Goldman Sachs, who were let off a £10m fine.
Or, next time he sees David Beckham (probably at the Olympics) he can
ask how his wife is getting on as an Irish citizen for tax purposes.
Or Sir David Murray, who set up a scheme to avoid £70m of tax for Rangers FC.
Or Craig Whyte, who simply didn't bother paying almost £10m to that same HMRC.
Or take it up with the Taxpayers Alliance, one of whose directors lives in France for tax purposes
Or, maybe, just maybe, he can pick on the low hanging fruit like Jimmy
Carr. The equivalent of fining someone for littering while a riot is
going on.
dickhead!
