After marking his unofficial Wanderers debut with a 90th minute winner against FC Helsingor on Saturday, here is everything you need to know about Jamie Proctor in bwfc.co.uk's A-Z guide...



A – AUGUST – Historically Proctor does not take long to get off the mark each season having scored seven goals in August throughout his career, with five of those coming in the opening month of the past two campaigns

BBRADFORD CITY – He joins Wanderers having last been on the books of Bradford City, spending the second half of last season with the Bantams where he scored six goals in 15 starts


CCHAMPIONSHIP – While the majority of his career to date have been spent in Sky Bet League One, the 24-year-old’s first taste of senior football came with Preston in the Championship. He turned out six times for the Lilywhites in the second tier, scoring one goal, prior to their relegation in 2010/11


DDEBUTS – He made an immediate impact for his last two clubs, Bradford City and Fleetwood Town, scoring on his debut for both against Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra respectively


EEIGHTH – Wanderers are the eighth club of the forward’s career, having coming through the ranks at Preston North End and gone on to turn out for Stockport County, Swansea City, Shrewsbury Town, Crawley Town, Fleetwood Town and Bradford City


FFLEETWOOD TOWN – Joining Fleetwood in June 2014, the forward spent 18 months with the Cod Army before leaving for Bradford City

GGOALS – A goalscorer and creator, he has scored 36 goals in his career to date and set up a further 20 strikes


HHELSINGOR – He marked his first appearance for Wanderers with a 90th minute winner against FC Helsingor

IINGOL – Proctor’s home town having been born and raised in the Preston suburb, Ingol


JJOINING – Joining Bolton alongside Mark Beevers and Chris Taylor, the forward actually scored in his last competitive outing having faced off against the duo and Millwall in the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-finals

KKICK OFF – Proctor is currently in line to make his competitive Wanderers debut against Sheffield United when the 2016/17 Sky Bet League One season kicks off on Saturday 6 August


LLOANS – He has spent time on loan at three difference clubs in his career to date, enjoying temporary stints with Stockport County and Shrewsbury Town during his time with Preston and Swansea City respectively, as well as brief stint with Bradford prior to making the move permanent


MMADEJSKI STADIUM – The stadium where he made his professional debut, aged just 18, coming off the bench on the final day of the 2009/10 season as Preston finished their campaign with a defeat away at Reading


NNORTH END – Starting his career with Preston North End, the forward is a boyhood Lilywhites fan and made 40 appearances for the club, scoring four goals after progressing through their youth academy


OOLD FACES – He will get the chance to face off against first club Preston in pre-season as Wanderers welcome Simon Grayson’s side at Macron Stadium on Saturday 30 July. He could also turn out against former clubs Shrewsbury Town, Fleetwood Town and Bradford City over the course of the 2016/17 Sky Bet League One campaign


PPHIL PARKINSON – Having previously signed the striker at former club Bradford City in January 2016, Phil Parkinson reunites with Proctor after bringing him to Macron Stadium


QQUINTET – Soon joining Bradford City permanently having scored on his Bantams loan debut, he scored a further five goals during his permanent stint with the Yorkshire-based club


RRED DEVILS – No, not them from down the road. Having found first team opportunities limited at Swansea, the forward joined Crawley Town in January 2013, spending 18 months with the club before signing for Fleetwood Town on a free transfer

SSOUTH WALES – He left first club Preston to sign for Premier League side Swansea City in August 2012, but left the club the following January having never made a senior appearance for the club

TTARGETMAN – Standing at 6ft 2, he is one of the taller players in the Wanderers squad and will provide a valuable aerial asset at both ends of the field, as well as look to bring his team-mates into play


UUNDISCLOSED – Twice moving for a price during his career to date, he joined Swansea for an undisclosed fee in August 2012, before again moving for an undisclosed fee when signing for Crawley Town the following January


VVARIETY – Anyone who followed [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] will have been treated to a selection of long-range piledrivers and majestic individual efforts from the forward from earlier in his career. But he is more than capable of providing a simple finish too, boasting a wide variety of strikes in his back-catalouge including close-range poacher's efforts and towering headers - such as his winner against FC Helsingor.


WWATFORD – Proctor scored his first professional goal against Watford on the final day of the 2010/11 Sky Bet Championship season, coming off the bench as already-relegated Preston clinched a 3-1 victory over the Hornets at Deepdale

XX-RAY – He suffered the worst injury of his career to date during the 2011/12 season when he required surgery to repair a double hernia


YYOUNGEST – At the time of his professional debut, he became Preston North End’s youngest ever player in the Sky Bet Championship


ZZEST – Described by many as a striker who would "run through brick walls" for the club, Proctor’s mobility and work-rate are two his main attributes
