It's unanimous then. Sorry Archie but Clause 28 must stand.

It's a game.
Poor Mark never wins so even if you let him off and give him the four quid I doubt it will change anything at the end of the month and more to the point I went to a great deal of bother selecting the right avatar for him, specifically for this thread, so for my sake if not his, allow him the lucky dip selection just this time.
To be honest he need not have posted anything on the day and simply took the lucky dip winnings without anybody being any the wiser - so in a way he was always being honest and up front with you all.
Free the Archie one!

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
I would refer you to the previous instances in which Archie has kicked up a fuss regarding various things but the pages are no longer there.
If you are going to keep banging on about the rules and stopping other people taking profit (RT's fourth placed horse being one example) then you have to expect the same treatment in return. You can't demand everyone else play by the rules then expect to have them bent in your favour when you see fit.
Fair decision imo.

Yes they are mate, it is just that when a thread get's over a certain length (about 1,100 posts or so - I'm not sure of the exact number myself) the system automatically 'files' the first 990 posts and resets the current thread back to 110 posts (or whatever the exact number is).
If you wanted to look back on the most recent batch of 990 posts from this thread - there are several batches dating back to when the forum was first started - just click on the link here -

As for Mark, I was only trying to lighten the mood a little bit.
I do hope he accepts the decision of you all and carry's on playing.
It is only for fun after all.
(Mind you he does have a classy avatar!).

His avatar is pure quality! It's got to be worth £3.44 at least!Sluffy wrote:Bwfc1958 wrote:I would refer you to the previous instances in which Archie has kicked up a fuss regarding various things but the pages are no longer there.

I'm happy for Archie to have the imaginary profit on this occasion and chalk it down to a Stewards enquiry. In fairness Clause 28 did cause a lot of controversy.

To stop it happening again perhaps the lucky dip should always be in the last race of the day.

Good point Barb..most people have picked their selections by teatime but from tomorrow I will leave the lucky dip till the evening so that everyone will have had time to make their selections.

Nice one Sluffy. I didn't know about clause 23 and 28 because RT never mentioned them before. I wouldn't have picked the lucky dip if I'd known the rules.

Rt just get rid of the stupid clauses and rules and just give the lucky dip for non runners in future.

Won at 4-5 for £1 profit. Total profit £13.11. I thought you might have gone for Brave Archibald in the 8.50 at Leicester. It's 8-1 at the moment.

I've just had a quid e/w on it for a laugh. If it comes in I'll donate the winnings to a charity of Archie's choice.Reebok Trotter wrote:Reebok Trotter wrote:mark leach wrote:Barroche 3.40 Bath
