How do you follow KP's submission of yester you may ask?

Well, with these three selections of course!

My thanks as always goes to the person who submitted them

Never heard of the first one and found it strangely hypnotic in a benignly pleasant way - 3

The second one's obviously a classic for those of us of a certain vintage - 5

And the third one's not bad either - 4

Not quite my taste, but not bad.

Well done Norpig.

3 - 5 - 3

Undecided on the first but kind of like it.

My favorite Echo and the Bunnymen tune by far.

James always worth a 3 but anything from Gold Mother would have got a 4.

I saw Christine and the Queens at Latitude a couple of weekends ago and they were magic. Drew a big crowd and we were stood near Florence Welch and a few other starlets who had turned out to check them out, so for me this is a bit timely and I have to give it 5 - not bored with it yet.
Unlike the other two which weren't my favourite bands or songs from that era. That said, the singer from James once gave me a back rub when I had a sore shoulder so it's 3 for the Bunnymen and 4 for James.

2 - catchy but nothingy (I know that's not a real word)
4 - really like that track
3 - love James but that's a bit music to cut your wrists to for me

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

4-1-1

Never heard of Christine and the Queens before and I quite like that. The other two are just shit quite honestly. There are much better James tracks to choose from than that one.

Christine and the Queens I have never heard before but I thought they might be Germans? Seeing as we had a Be more German post, I will give it a 2.

I wasn't a big Echo and the Bunnymen fan and I don't have any of their records in my collection but this song isn't bad so it's another 2.

I don't mind James and my favourite track is Sit down but I quite like this one as well so it's a 3.

Christine and the Queens are French Canadians and I have heard that track loads after recording the TV Glastonbury highlights. I like it plenty.

Can't go wrong with The Bunnymen.

Never a big James fan and this was just ok.

5-5-3

I don't know if it's against the rules to out ones self but Bonce is an awful human being.  Very Happy

Like Hip Priest I too saw Christine at Glastonbury. She'd gone for the full Glastonbury look with her hair all o'er shop and she was wearing them awful velcro fastening shoes that kids who are starting school wear.

Someone on another site said she was like Enya on acid.

Well seeing Copper has 'outed' himself I may as well thank him for his 'picks' and tot up the scores.

I make it that 12 people gave 105 points for an average of 8.75 which impressively puts him into the top 5 of the Round 1 scores.

Well done Stan - remember to post me your next three clips for this round when you have a minute please.
