Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Lewis Buxton on a free transfer.
Most recently on the books at Rotherham United, the versatile defender has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Macron Stadium.
The 32-year-old started his career with his Portsmouth, breaking into their first team during the 2001/02 season before enjoying loan stints with Exeter City and AFC Bournemouth.
After moving to Stoke City, he signed for Sheffield Wednesday in January 2009 following a brief loan spell at Hillsborough and was a member of the Owls side that won promotion to the Championship in 2011/12.
Spending last season with Rotherham United, Buxton made 22 appearances in all competitions as the Millers avoided relegation.
