Clough on the bench sounds interesting, in the second half when we need a spark.

I think this is what Parky considers to be his best eleven so in playing a game we are expected to win comfortably it should be a decent test of whether or not he's on the right track. That said, this team has to start scoring a few goals and it's interesting he's not gone for Clough, Woolery or Clayton. Maybe he just doesn't like younger players? Finney might think so.

The more I look at our team list for this season the more I think we should go up this season (thought I'd make my first post a positive one!)
Wanderlust mentioned the importance of momentum and I agree there is big importance to this game. In a players mind, losing to one of the relegation candidates at this stage could start the mental jitters, something we were all too familiar with last season. A draw is a consolation IMO and we should easily win and keep another clean sheet. I'll ignore the blackpool game due to the number of changes and manager's priorities. THIS game is there for the taking and if we lose it would be a huge surprise for me.
I truely believe we are promotion material if we can add to the squad rather than selling any more players - keep clough and mavies then who's gonna compete with us? And Parky should be the right man to settle a wrecked ship.
Again, have a look at our squad. We should make mince-meat out of these wobbling womblers!
4-0 the mighty whites. 3 points a must.

I would be amazed if we win this game. Have we ever won a game when Liam Trotter started?
And why is Wilson on the bench, he was the only width we had against Sheffield Utd.
Mark Davies? Again? What does he have over these managers that forces them to pick the anonymous bellend?

The consensus in the media was that Davies had a decent game against Blackpool.
You know, the game we lost 4-2 to a team in a division below us?

We're now in control of the game. Come on one more goal before the break and we're back on track.
